As part of its commitment to support efforts to flatten the Covid-19 pandemic curve, Prime Bank has donated a ventilator to PCEA Kikuyu Hospital.<\/p>\n
The donation is part of the Bank\u2019s pledge to the National COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund to donate two ventilators valued at KShs. 6 Million.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the handover ceremony of the ventilator to the hospital, Managing Director Mr. Bharat Jani said the Bank under the umbrella of Kenya Banking Industry Response to Coronavirus, had refocused its corporate social responsibility programmes and budgets towards the fight against the pandemic.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis Mind ray Ventilator that we are donating today is fitted with state of the art technology that will not only help Covid-19 patients at the hospital but will go a long way as a necessity in the Intensive Care Unit for many years to come,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cDuring this period, we have joined hands with Rotary District 9212, Seventh Day Adventist University, Red Cross, and numerous community based organizations to support their efforts of providing food, hand washing stations, and sanitizers to vulnerable families,\u201d said Mr. Jani.<\/p>\n
Executive Director Mr. Amar Kantaria added that the Bank will ensure that the ventilator is fully serviced every year.<\/p>\n
PCEA Moderator Right Reverend Julius Mwamba said Prime Bank had come to the aid of the hospital at an opportune time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI thank God for directing our brothers from Prime Bank to the hospital, as under the current circumstances, we were in dire need of a ventilator,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The Mind ray SV300 turbine driven Ventilator is fitted with reusable adult and pediatric breathing circuit and adult Humidification Chambers.<\/p>\n
